Returning to our roots & real Whole Foods
The Cassell Coker & Co story is steeped in history. Cassell, Coker & Cooper was founded in 2015 by Simone Cassell around her passion for natural health & genealogy. CC&Co pays tribute to Simone's family names, each with their own fascinating histories.
Simone's family heritage is in Produce. Her Grandfather Max Cooper, following on from he's Father operated Cooper’s Produce Merchants in Goulburn NSW through the 1800s-1900s. (Simone’s Grandfather Max Cooper with Father Edward above, outside the store circa 1919).
The Cassell surname is deeply linked to Sydney’s Hills District. Simone’s convict ancestor Thomas Cassell arrived in Rouse Hill in 1819, soon becoming Overseer of historic Rouse Hill House and Farm. Thomas formed a life-long friendship with prominent early settler and landholder Richard Rouse. (Simone below at today's Rouse Hill House & Farm).
Coker pays tribute to Simone's Great Grandfather Charles Willoughby Roy Coker. (Pictured far below) "Roy" or "Digger" as he was fondly known, fought in France during WW1 being seriously wounded in the Western Front's pivotal 1918 Battle of Mont Saint Quentin.
In 2015, driven by her passion for nutrition, Simone set out to offer the Hills District healthier food options. Simone saw a gap for high quality organic produce as well as vegan and gluten-free options. In recent years CC&Co has gathered loyal customers and a reputation for premium quality products via Sydney-wide markets, pop-ups and their online store.
Since 2015 the CC&Co brand has evolved, initially operating Pop-up Stores throughout Sydney and attending over 250 Organic Food & Farmers Markets from 2015 - 2018. In May 2018 they reduced their market operations and product range to focus on bringing customers the best products via the Online Store & Whole Food Gifting range. CC&Co carefully source their products using Australian and local ingredients wherever possible.
In September 2020 CC&Co launched their new Premium Gifting Range for Corporate & Consumer. The CC&Co range of Premium Products are also now stocked in selected Fine Food Stores and quality Retailers Australia Wide.
The CC&Co goal is to be Australia's Premium Produce & Wholefood Gifting brand specialising in premium products & exceptional customer experience.
